Drop it off (Pty) Ltd is the Controller of your personal data unless otherwise stated below.
The term “us” or “we” refers to the owner of the Drop it off app, Drop it off (Pty) Ltd, a private limited company, founded in the Republic of South Africa. The term “you” or “your” refers to the user or sender who requests and/or receives a delivery service through their Drop it off app account.
Personal data we collect and process
We collect and process information related to:
- Names
- Phone number
- Place of residence.
- Location of drivers and driving routes.
- Vehicle information (including registration number, and vin number).
- Driver’s license
- Personal photo
- Identity documents.
- Criminal activities and offences data.
Why we collect and process these information
- We collect and process personal information for the purpose of linking the senders/users with drivers to help them send their parcel/packages around more efficiently.
- Location and routes are processed to analyse. If you do not want to disclose your location to the senders/users, you must terminate the use of Drop it off app or change in-app status to offline in the Drop it off app.
- Driver’s license, professional documents, identity documents and criminal records are processed to determine the compliance with the legal requirements.
- Drop it off app displays driver’s photo, name and vehicle/motorcycle details for the senders/users to be able to identify driver and vehicle.
Recipients
- Your personal information is only disclosed to senders/users, whose delivery order has been accepted by you. Senders/users will see driver’s name, vehicle details, phone number, photo and location details..
Processing senders/users personal data
- Drivers may not process the personal information of a senders/users without the permission of Drop it Off. Drivers may not contact any sender/user, collect, record, store, grant access, to any user/sender information provided by the sender/user for any reason other than for the purposes of fulfilling the delivery services.
- Drivers have to comply with the rules and regulation set out for processing of personal information of senders/users as set out in the Privacy Policy for Senders/users (https://dropitoffglobal.com/general-terms-and-conditions-for-senders-users/). If you bridge the requirements for the processing of personal information of senders/users, we have the right to terminate your drivers account and claim damages from you.
Information Access, amendment, limitation and deletion
Right of access
- You can access your personal information via the Drop it off app. You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.
Right to amendment
- You can amend your personal information by sending us an email or contact support through the support chat via the Drop it off app. You have the right to ask for an amendment of your personal information you deemed incorrect or incomplete.
Right to deletion
- You have the right to ask us to delete your personal information under certain situations.
Right to limitation
- You have the right to ask us to limit the use and processing of your information in under certain situations..

- Disputes relating to the processing of personal data are resolved through customer support (support@dropitoffglobal.com).
